M&C Tech Indiana in Washington, IN is looking for a Quality Manager. M&C Tech is a tier 2 automotive parts supplier. Our ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have great attention to detail and is highly self-motivated.

Responsibilities:
- Creates, establishes, and maintains all quality standards necessary to meet customer quality expectations
- Manages and further develops the existing quality system and assures compliance to ISO 9001
- Understands and can execute basic measurements with scales, calipers, etc.
- Oversees the Quality Department (team members, team leaders). Assures all necessary resources, manpower, training, etc. are available to support all production process.
- Collects and analyzes data from product inspections. Summarizes and presents data to the team in such a way to help guide problem solving activity and overall defect reduction
- Creating reports as needed to communicate issues, problems and or solutions internally or to the customer
- Communicates daily with all departments and customers as needed. Shares data and information to assure prompt customer response and to help drive quality improvement
- Assure quality departmental training is in place and refreshed as needed.
- Maintains all necessary company documentation related to quality. This includes but is not limited to quality procedures, work instructions, quality system documents, PPAP submittals, Process Change Requests, etc.
Skills:
- Possesses training or experience in structured problem solving (typically 8 step problem solving). Ability to lead these activities is a plus
- Candidate should have strong computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and automotive APQP process is preferred.
- Solid communication skills. Able to interact professionally with internal and external customers. Able to lead groups during events such as Quality circles or formal problem solving
- Strong math and analytical skills will be beneficial.
- Individual must be detail oriented, possess leadership skills and be able to adapt to changing work situations.
Education:
- BS in technical, engineering, or manufacturing related field or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience managing a quality department is preferred
- Training or applicable experience with automotive APQP documents, PPAP submittals, etc. is preferred
- Injection plastics and Urethane process experience a plus.
- Previous exposure to a multicultural office environment a plus.
