Key Responsibilities:
- Interface directly with customers to resolve quality problems.
- Manage the QA lab, ensuring it is neat and orderly at all times.
- Track and report key quality trends for the management team.
- Act as the management representative for ISO 14001 and IATF16949.
- Monitor customer portals as needed.
- Assure that all products meet customer specifications.
- Conduct internal audits on the quality system; report results to management.
- Produce monthly reports pertaining to scrap (internal/external), quality trends, corrective actions, etc.
- Generate and analyze statistical data for continuous improvement for all departments.
- Work with outside customers to resolve quality issues.
- Supervise QA staff, responsible for all lab tests, etc., that support production.
- Ensure departmental personnel follow all company policies (payroll, time and attendance, etc.).
- Manage the QA department within budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct performance appraisals as required.
- Interview and select new employees as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university and/or five to ten years of related experience.
Qualifications:
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Have a working knowledge of IATF-16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Apply advanced mathematical concepts.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
- Maintain a solid work history.
- Create a collaborative team environment.
