- Providing basic care and hygiene for animals, such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and clipping fur
- Providing more complex services like nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
- Being knowledgeable about different animal breeds and the specific needs of each species
- Dematting and detangling hair as required
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets
- Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles
- Inspecting the animal for any external signs of parasites, disease, or injury and reporting their findings to owners
- Sanitizing all of the clippers, combs, brushes, and other tools used on pets to prevent the spreading of diseases among their clients
- Manage challenging behavior of pets during the grooming process
- Forming aa relationship with clients and pets
- Earn a week's pay in 20-30 hours
