Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receives and processes vendor invoices for payment
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are processed for payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma required with applicable work experience; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- One year of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.
- Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment.
