Position Overview:
As a Laborer at M.E.I.D. Construction, you will play a crucial role in the construction process. From assisting with site preparation to supporting skilled tradespeople, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Whether it's handling materials, operating equipment, or maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your contributions will be valued and appreciated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical tasks as directed
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
