Job DescriptionM&J is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator assigned to our New Hyde Park Office in NY. This position will provide support to the Marketing Director on all matters. The Marketing Coordinator will assist the marketing department with initiatives and proposals. This position typically coordinates marketing and community events, assists with the development, execution, and monitoring of email, digital, social media, and content marketing campaigns, creates original content, and conducts market research. The Marketing Coordinator performs assignments under the supervision of the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes, and standardizes materials necessary for presentations and coordinates presentation development.
• Collaborates with the Marketing Director to ensure that each project has the resources and attention it needs to be successful.
• The Marketing Coordinator handles correspondence with clients and communicating with other departments within the company to keep marketing campaigns on track.
• Prepares and compiles final PDF for proposals upon proposal completion.
• Assumes responsibility for proposal production and coordination as assigned.
• Develops and maintains all promotional materials (service brochures, firm, and employee bios, etc.).
• Develops graphics for proposals, collateral, and M&J company website.
• Researches staff qualifications and maintains resumes and project profiles.
• Drives the pursuit process in conjunction with business development and technical staff.
• Supports the marketing department by scheduling and organizing the creation of website content.
• Works with the graphic designer to help deliver content that meets client specifications.
• Prepares letters and emails to clients in response to questions or to provide clarification on an ongoing project.
• Monitors marketing industry news and submits reports on emerging trends to management each month.
• Works with the marketing team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering, Architecture or a related field OR 5 years of relevant proposal management experience in lieu of degree 5 years of experience as a Proposal Coordinator in the A/E/C Industry Knowledge of Microsoft Office and In Design software packages.
• Graphic design skills in the use of Adobe Photoshop and In-design are preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently on multiple concurrent assignments within tight schedules.
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
• Understanding of basic marketing principles.
