What are the responsibilities and job description for the CWI/QC Inspector position at M&J Fabrication?
POSITION SUMMARY
The CWI performs welding inspections in accordance with AWS and other customer standards. When needed, the CWI recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. Ensures all processes and procedures are being followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and approve welding procedures to ensure they meet project requirements and safety standards.
Conduct process audits.
Develop robust quality standards and communicating them to the operations teams.
Maintain detailed inspection records, document findings, and generate reports detailing any non-conformances or corrective actions required.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Review test and inspection documentation to ensure process inspections and vendor data meet required specifications.
SKILLS DESIRED
Comprehensive understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, welding defects, and inspection techniques.
Knowledge of welding documentation (WPS, PQR etc.)
CWI and Robotic Weld programming experience a strong plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes, and ability to understand blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation is required.
Knowledge of operations in a NADCAP, AS9100 environment a strong plus.

Pay: $72,724.00 - $97,199.00 per year
