What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRP Shop Leadman position at M&K Truck Centers?
M&K Truck Centers is a fast-growing commercial truck dealership in the Midwest, known for our high-quality maintenance and repair services. We are a leading retailer of Mack and Volvo semi-trucks and have a strong Fire and Rescue department. We are currently looking for an Apparatus Technician Leadman to join our team and help maintain and repair emergency vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day to day shop operations including assisting technicians
Performing technical work, minor fabrication,
Assisting the shop manager with scheduling and estimating.
Diagnose and repair emergency vehicles (engines, fire pumps, drivetrains, etc.).
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
Assign shop work to technicians in cooperation with the service manager as necessary.
Time will be spent 50% in the shop and 50% in the office. Assist with locating parts when necessary.
Qualifications:
A PA State Safety Inspection License is required.
CDL (PA Class B or higher) is required.
Experience with heavy trucks and emergency vehicles, including fire pumps and drivetrains.
Familiarity with Cummins engines is preferred.
Basic fabrication and repair skills.
