What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll/Office Clerk position at M&M Livehaul, Inc?
Seeking a full time payroll/office clerk to assist in day to day operations and weekly payroll functions. Office hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assists with weekly payroll, with the goal of becoming lead payroll clerk.
- Ability to learn a unique system including but not limited to calculating weekly load sheets and weights, tracking incentive bonuses and calculating information from numerous farms and crews on a daily basis.
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Administrative support includes filing, scanning, sorting, auditing files, and answering phones.
- Serves as backup to office manager, cross training to provide coverage when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some college preferred.
- Previous payroll experience required. Accounting experience helpful.
- QuickBooks experience REQUIRED.
- MUST have experience calculating employee and employer tax amounts, deposits and withholdings, including WH-1, 941, social security tax, etc.
- MUST have experience filing returns: Filing weekly, monthly, and quarterly tax returns and reporting.
- Must have excellent computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $99,999.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
