M & M Metrology is a South Florida based calibration laboratory located in Deerfield Beach supporting various commercial and industrial customers and has been in business since 1999. and has grown through mostly word of mouth due to our high standards and excellent work ethic that has been observed and expected by our customers. We are now ready to add additional members that complement our existing team of calibration technicians to enable us to continue our growth while continuing to meet and exceed the requirements of our customers.
Job Description
The Electrical Calibration Technician will primarily calibrate Electronics such as Multimeters, Ohmmeters, Resistance Decades, Function Generators, Counters, Avionics Test Equipment, Fuel Quantity Test Sets, Timing Devices, Oscilloscopes, etc. The job will be performed both in our Electrical Calibration Laboratory and On-Site at various customer locations. Strong communication skills will be required to effectively communicate any issues with customers with various calibration and technical knowledge. The Technician must also be able to read, comprehend, and execute steps found in various procedures from numerous sources (Manufacturer, DoD, Industry Standards, etc.) with confidence and be able to communicate required steps as required.
Responsibilities
Complete various calibrations in a timely and accurate manner.
Travel to and from customer locations and stay overnight when required.
Maintain a working knowledge of our customers and their individual requirements when necessary.
Identify and prioritize customer equipment to maximize efficiency and reduce Turn-Around time.
Analyze customer needs and identify additional opportunities with the customer.
Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Requirements
Strong communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and in quick succession.
6 years experience training in the electronics field calibration calibrating complex equipment such as avionics test sets.
Must have a thorough understanding of Test Accuracy / Uncertainty Ratios and test uncertainty contributors.
Ability to understand and communicate both decimal and fractional numbers.
Self-motivated to complete required tasks with little or no direct supervision.
Ability to work individually or in a group to complete tasks.
Additional Desired Skills
U.S. Military PMEL training in Mechanical, Dimensional, and / or Thermometry fields of calibration.
