PCA/Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in personal care homes, retirement communities, and home care settings. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Drive clients to appointments or social events as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or personal care roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and basic health assessments is advantageous.
• Experience working in personal care homes, retirement homes, or home community care settings is a plus.
• A background in social work or related fields can enhance the understanding of client needs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for transportation duties.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
