Associate Credit Clerk

M.S. Walker has an immediate opening for an Associate Credit Clerk at our Norwood, MA office! If you have had a previous role in Accounts Receivable or a related position and you have experience with reading invoices and creating credit memos, this may be the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Download daily unshipped item report. Review and generate credit memos accordingly.
• Review delivery documents for discrepancies and issue credit memos as required.
• Review, price and issue credit memos for returned merchandise.
• Communicate with the Sales Department, colleagues and customers regarding customer accounts.
• Read, interpret and discuss pricing requests with Sales or Brand Managers to ensure credit memos are issued correctly and in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze customer accounts.
• Apply credit memos to corresponding invoice(s).
• Upload credit memos into our online document storage system, Docuware, upload and attach any backup to corresponding credit memo.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in this role:

• 2-4 years related experience in A/R, or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues and customers. Must be adaptable and capable of taking directions from team members.
• Extremely organized and attentive to detail, excellent time management is required
• Critical thinking, problem solving and research capability is a must
• Ability to apply mathematical skills for preparing credit memos as well as verifying and correcting pricing issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Wine or spirits industry experience helpful, but not required
