We are a leading environmental and geotechnical drilling provider, headquartered in Knoxville, TN. As part of our strategic growth plan, M&W is expanding into the Carolinas to serve the region and our clients more locally. M&W boasts a robust fleet of 23 drill rigs including direct push, hollow stem auger, air and mud rotary, rock coring and sonic. Our diverse range of rigs enables us to tackle projects of varying complexities, ensuring veratility and efficiency in our drilling operations with the ability to meet any and all of our client's drilling and well installation related needs.
As a Driller, you will play a crucial role in drilling operations. You will operate and maintain drilling equipment, interact directly with clients, collect soil and groundwater samples, construct monitoring wells, and contribute to the overall success of projects. Responsibilities:
- Conduct drilling operations using various drilling methods, such as hollow stem auger and direct push
- Operate and maintain drilling equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and adherence to safety standards
- Monitor drilling progress, adjust equipment as needed, and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during operations
- Collect soil and groundwater samples from borehole and set wells in accordance with project specifications
- Prepare drilling sites, including clearing vegetation, setting up drilling equipment, and securing the work area
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of drilling activities, equipment maintenance, and sample collection
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment
Qualifications:
- Level A or B North Carolina Driller's License
- Prior experience running hollow stem auger and direct push drills
- Must have a valid driver's license; commercial driver's license preferred (qualifying driller for additional financial compenstation)
- Willing and able to travel to project sites throughout the southeast U.S., as needed
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy objects
