We are a large California-based personal injury law firm and are looking for someone to assist our hiring director in our HR department in talent acquisition and hiring by reviewing a high volume of resumes and applicants and quickly identifying and interviewing those that are qualified and fit our company’s core values. You must be very tech savvy, highly organized, extremely responsive to the hiring director, and be highly efficient. You must be a good judge of character and be able to make quick decisions about applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Spend hours a day reviewing resumes and job applicants for 4-5 different hiring positions at the firm at any given time.
  • Immediately contacting and having recorded interviews with job candidates to see if they fit the job criteria and firm’s core values.
  • Effectively communicating the firm’s vision, core values, benefits, and other reasons why applicants would want to work at the firm. It’s a two-way interview where you must sell the firm to qualified applicants because those applicants will likely get multiple job offers and we must separate our law firm and show why the applicant should choose us.
  • Working closely with the hiring director and assisting her by completing the tasks and projects she assigns to you
  • Looking for new agencies and platforms that can provide the firm with qualified job applicants
  • Performing background checks and verifying prior employment for potential new hires
  • Coordinating onboarding of new hires with the other members of the HR department

Qualifications:

  • Excellent speaking and communications skills to effectively communicate the firm’s vision and job responsibilities to applicants
  • Effective at reading and analyzing applicants to separate qualified job applicants from the unqualified
  • Prior experience in HR or interviewing is preferred
  • Quick to learn, able to absorb our vision, and masterfully communicate them to prospects
  • Comfortable working in a remote, tech-driven environment
  • Able to easily multi-task and simultaneously handle numerous assignments
