What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at M2 Logistics?
As an LTL Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in meeting daily operational needs of our customers. This position is accountable for planning and executing customer shipments as well as monitoring carrier’s performance. Your top priority is ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight while building and maintaining relationships with our customers and carriers.

The Position
- Oversee information for assigned accounts in the transportation management systems to ensure that all shipments contain accurate data for planning, execution, and reporting purposes (i.e., tracking info, tracking number, rates, current status, appointment times, final charges, etc.)
- Maintaining and growing relationships with all influential levels of the strategic customer organizations and the appropriate contacts at M2 to ensure we are aligned for customer success
- Establish and nurture strong professional relationships with potential clients using various prospecting techniques
- Identify, research, and provide creative problem resolution with customers, carriers, and vendors, understanding the root cause to prevent future occurrences
- Seek new opportunities through existing customers to effectively grow, maintain, and develop partnerships that strategically align with the business
- Assist in the maintenance of the account plan; provide recommendations for account improvements and identify growth opportunities or threats
- Implementing strategic account project plans to insure growth within the assigned accounts
- Build situational awareness of current market trends and cost to maintain competitive yet profitable pricing
- Audit invoices, dispute and/or inform necessary parties on shipment changes such as re-classification, re-weighs, and service issues
- Identify, analyze, recommend, and implement improvement initiatives resulting in service improvements, cost savings or a streamlined workflow.
- Cross train on non-assigned accounts for both supply chain and LTL service lines, fulfill responsibilities as a back-up to your teammates
- Traveling to current/prospective customer account locations as needed
