M2 Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVACR Service Technician to join our team! We work to provide a culture of teamwork and are looking for hardworking and experienced HVAC Technicians to join us.
We provide general HVAC maintenance, installation, repair, and service work for retail and commercial businesses. Some light refrigeration work.
Focus area is MA (including Boston), NH and Maine. You won't have to report to an office to get the van, our technicians are dispatched each day from their home. We pay you from the time you leave your home until you arrive back home at the end of the day, with a half hour lunch!!
Competitive starting pay, (pay based on experience/licensing). Opportunity for overtime and profit-sharing pay. Work may lead you into the other New England states.
General Requirements:
- We are looking for professional, ethical, goal orientated, motivated, reliable individual with 2 years relevant experience.
- OSHA card, EPA and Refrigeration certifications/licenses required, gasfitters license and/or refrigeration certification a plus.
- Have a proven understanding of HVAC/R and a degree from accredited program/school or equivalent experience.
- Proven excellent safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment. Goal to keep equipment operating to factory specifications and optimum condition.
- Ability to be thorough and accurate on the job and with paperwork
- Ability to utilize necessary software to process paperwork (ex. iPad/Computer)
- Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain any necessary licenses or certifications which may apply.
- Clean driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehicle.
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 – 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other climbing devices; carry tools and equipment; work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched and crawling positions, be able to see naturally or with correction, to safely perform designated tasks.
- Perform assigned tasks under all types of environmental and weather conditions including severe cold, extreme heat, wet or dry weather and high winds.
- Interest and ability to apply current knowledge while learning new skills from senior technicians.
- Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether talking to colleagues, at the job site or driving company vehicles.
- Participate in a paid on-call "after hours" rotation schedule.
- Possess an up-to-date smart phone.
Education Requirements:
- Two-year technical degree OR equivalent work experience
- Up to date certifications and licensing is required
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pay attention to detail, follow directions, reliable, dependable, able to provide great customer service, excellent communication skills while on-site or on the phone speaking with customers.
- Able to safely climb ladders to access roof top units.
- Work independently on diverse equipment including but not limited to roof top units, split systems, air handlers, heaters, and EMS, all in commercial locations.
- Troubleshoot and perform corrective service repairs and maintenance work on HVAC / Refrigeration and associated equipment. Perform scheduled tasks and respond to HVAC / Refrigeration service calls.
Salary: $28.00 - $41.00 per hour
