As a Pharmacy Client Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing and nurturing client relationships while providing expert guidance on prescription drug benefits. You'll work closely with clients, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our clients and driving our business forward.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Take charge of servicing your assigned book of business, managing resources, and leading client-facing meetings, including PBM quarterly or annual reviews and renewal negotiations.
- Cultivate and maintain robust connections with clients and PBMs, ensuring their needs are met with prompt, accurate, and proactive solutions.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the pharmacy and PBM landscape, translating industry trends into actionable insights for clients.
- Provide expert advice on contracts, coverage issues, and escalated pharmacy questions. Lead claims resolution efforts and partner with PBMs to optimize client outcomes.
- Keep clients informed about regulatory requirements and industry changes, helping them stay compliant and competitive.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies and recommend best practices to leadership.
- Act as the key liaison between clients, internal teams, and leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
- Share your expertise, assist others with complex questions, and contribute to the success of the entire team.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- A minimum of eight years in the PBM, managed care pharmacy, or pharmacy consulting industry.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of pharmacy language, cost drivers, and PBM contracts.
- Strong aptitude for data analytics and pharmacy pricing strategies.
- Proven ability to mentor, lead, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of maintaining positive client relationships.
