Description Summary:
The Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for managing both on-premise environments and cloud-based networks. Management will encapsulate design, organization, installation, modification and documentation. This role involves securing communication across networks, facilitating network scalability, ensuring proper disaster recovery capabilities, and maintaining the overall health and performance of the network infrastructure.
Essential Duties:
The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure for both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Ensure secure communication across networks by implementing and maintaining security protocols and measures.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Automate configuration management to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Install, configure, and remove various equipment from our data center.
- Work closely with the users of each network to proactively identify potential issues and fix existing problems as well as perform root cause analysis
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Education/Training/Experience:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a directly related position required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud required.
- 5 years in network design and hands-on support of enterprise IP Networks required.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on hybrid cloud and on-premise environments required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (IPsec, DNS, VoIP, QoS, and MPLS), security measures, and disaster recovery planning required.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell) required.
- Experience working in a hybrid networking/software development environment required.
- Experience configuring and maintaining server/virtualization clustering (VMWare, XenServer) required.
- Experience with network security tools such as NGFWs and IPS required.
- Extensive knowledge of both Windows and Linux OS environments required.
- Deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols required.
- Data center operations, procedures, and best practices preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work in the office regularly, or pivot to working at home should emergency situations arise.
- Ability to attend work per assigned schedule and attend meetings with excellent attendance and punctuality.
