What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Office Employee (Seasonal) position at MA Gaming Commission?
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is seeking to hire a Licensing Office Employee. Reporting to the Director of Racing, this position is responsible for providing seasonal administrative support to enable the Racing Division of the MGC to operate efficiently, including occupational licensing, certain investigatory and payroll functions, and related duties as assigned.
This position will be based at Plainridge Park in Plainville, MA. The anticipated dates of service are April through November.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Issues occupational licenses to all racing participants, following review by State Police and judges or stewards
Collects licensing fees and outstanding administrative fines
Responds to requests for information from occupational licensees and other racing operations offices
Provides administrative support for Racing Division Judges and the Director of Racing
Maintains the Commission field office in a neat and professional manner

Experience, Education, and Training:
Previous experience in the MGC racing division or with another racetrack preferred
Experience working with law enforcement personnel
Previous similar experience in a local, state, or federal government agency setting
Experience with relevant software applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite
