JOB SUMMARY: MAAC is searching for a highly motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented Industrial Machine Builder responsible for assembling, installing, and testing our range of thermoforming machinery and equipment, mechanical systems, and robotic devices. With an ultimate goal to construct fully functional, efficient, and safe machinery meeting company specifications and quality standards.
Here are the primary tasks and responsibilities of the position:
- Assemble components according to blueprints, diagrams, manuals, engineering direction, and knowledge of machine construction using necessary tools
- Components include steel main structure, vertical and horizontal moving structures, drive systems, motors, pneumatics systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and modify machines according to specific client needs
- Verify part conformance to lists and blueprints using measuring instruments
- Construction of sub-assemblies and installation of sub-assemblies into the overall machine
- Aligns components for assembly and bolts, screws, or welds parts together, using hand tools and welding equipment, or arranges for assembly by welder and electrician.
- Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they function correctly; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments ensuring machines are produced within tolerance and operate as designed
- Understand and implement quality control standards
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient and timely project completion
- Ensure all machines comply with safety regulations and operational standards
- Document machine information including assembly procedures and test results
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mechanical components and machinery
- Suggest improvements or modifications for better performance or efficiency
