Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust surfaces, and empty trash cans daily
- Regularly clean windows, shampoo carpets, and restock restroom supplies
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and addressing small repairs
- Handle spills and other hazards promptly to ensure the safety of students and staff
- Secure the building by locking doors and ensuring all areas are properly cleaned at the end of the day
- Report cleaning activities and notify the manager of any significant repairs needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services, preferably in a school or similar environment
- A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from work
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies
- Excellent stamina and physical health to perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hard-working attitude
