Job Title: Branch Manager I or II
Reports To: VP of Branch Operations
Location: Fairbanks & Wasilla
Purpose:
The Branch Manager I or II is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the credit union branch, ensuring exceptional member service, and fostering a positive work environment. This role is critical in promoting the credit union’s mission, enhancing member satisfaction, and driving branch growth through effective leadership, strategic planning, and community engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop branch staff to achieve personal and professional growth.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that aligns with the credit union’s values.
• Ensure high standards of member service are consistently met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with other departments to address members' needs and improve the overall member experience.
• Address member inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Be knowledgeable of MAC’s products and services, answer inquiries, and provide accurate information to members on all types of accounts, products, and services.
• Develop and maintain member service standards, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee daily branch operations to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, Vault balancing, reconciliation, branch security, and risk management protocols.
• Perform Teller functions.
• Cash handling, vault balancing, and reconciliation.
• Assist in the Call Center, including answering escalated calls
• Develop and implement strategies to promote MAC FCU’s products and services.
• Identify opportunities for growth in membership and deposits and achieve branch sales goals.
• Monitor branch financial performance, preparing reports and analyzing trends to inform decision-making.
• Work with the VP of Branch Operations to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community members.
• Represent the credit union at community events and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Provide ongoing training and support for staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about products, services, and compliance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensures the branch image is positive, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and all necessary requirements for daily operations.
Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of credit union operations, products, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in sales and member service excellence.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.

Education
A two-year college degree; completion of a specialized certification or licensing; completion of specialized training courses from vendors; or job-specific skills gained through an apprenticeship program.

The supervisory/managerial responsibilities are direct or conducted through team leaders. Typically supervises 3-15 employees.

Salary : $64,405 - $80,503
