Overview
Position: IT Specialist - VoIPLocation: Colonie NY - Hybrid (50% which equals 5 days per state pay period after the employee has been trained on our systems and processes.)Shift: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.
Duties
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- VOIP Expereince is required
- Set up accounts for new users and assist with password resets
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Test and evaluate new technology
Skills
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows
- Knowledge of LAN, firewall, and network technologies
- Experience with remedy, Jira, and help desk software
- Strong understanding of computer hardware
- Ability to provide technical support for office applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with users
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
