JOB Description: Quality Manager
Position Summary
Leads, develops, and oversees the organization’s quality management program to ensure products meet internal standards and customer expectations.
Coordinates quality assurance and control activities across the production process, driving continuous improvement through leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establishes and aligns quality objectives with corporate policies, annual plans, and strategic goals.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of quality assurance processes—including analysis, inspection, testing, and integration—to ensure product compliance and consistency with customer expectations.
- Leads the investigation of major quality issues, product deviations, and customer complaints. Ensures the implementation of robust, permanent corrective and preventive actions, while keeping the management team informed at key progress milestones.
- Prepares and delivers technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Implements and maintains quality management systems in compliance with customer requirements and industry standards (e.g., IATF, MISI Production Way, TQM).
- Designs and delivers quality training programs in collaboration with department managers to ensure staff proficiency and adherence to standards.
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on quality metrics, initiating corrective actions in response to adverse trends.
- Leads the internal audit team and actively contributes to cross-functional initiatives, including 5S and Safety teams.
- Communicates the organization’s quality philosophy and best practices to key personnel to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Reviews and approves Customer Requirement Sheets and associated revisions to ensure alignment with quality and production standards.
- Conducts material inspections as needed—upon receipt, during production, and prior to shipment—to verify conformance.
- Addresses and resolves quality concerns during plant meetings, fostering open dialogue and transparency.
- Oversees reconciliation and resolution of customer claims and nonconforming materials.
- Facilitates regular quality meetings to ensure alignment, awareness, and accountability among personnel.
- Maintains gauge calibration system and applicable calibration records.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; eight years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
