1st Shift Production Supervisor

6am-4pm Mon-Thurs, Fridays OT half or full days

Salary Range: 65k-80k

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead the activities of team members in the production of trailers in accordance with company policy to ensure a quality product is delivered on time.
• Responsible for implementing, adhering to and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policies.
• Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve processing issues and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage the scheduling of inspections and provide production updates in daily team meetings.
• Set work schedules, provide training, coaching and development, conduct performance evaluations, and set departmental goals and expectations.
• Monitors and approves work hours in a timely manner.
• Monitors and approves time off requests for assigned area(s).
• Acts as a member of the management team and performs other duties as directed by position or required by Sr. Management.
• Monitors and takes appropriate timely improvement action to meet production quality and quantity.
• Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
• 2 – 5 years Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 – 5 years trailer industry experience preferred.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• MS Office and email proficiency.
