Central City Concern is an innovative nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to single adults and families in the Portland metro area who are impacted by homelessness, poverty and addictions. The Resident Services Support Specialist will be responsible for greeting clients, residents, and building visitors, and directing them to the appropriate areas. They will also be responsible for answering inquiries and providing information and updates to staff. They will interact with clients / residents over the course of the shift as appropriate and enforce the building and program rules. Additionally, they will check in outside visitors, answer and direct telephone calls to appropriate staff, and take messages as needed. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.

Schedule : Saturday - Sunday 7 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 30 pm
Wage : $19.72 per hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have knowledge of chemical dependency, addictions, and mental health issues.
- Ability to adhere to Central City Concern’s drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy, and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must generally have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull, and lift heavy objects, and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
