We are looking for a Foodservice Sales Associate to join our team and contribute to our success by performing a variety of sales, operational, and technical tasks. This role includes responsibilities for small wares sales, stocking, merchandising, and supporting general retail operations. You will work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about our products, recommend the right solutions, and assist with our new Mazi Systems ERP, Warehouse management product.
You should be able to handle customer inquiries and ensure client satisfaction while maintaining our store’s visual appearance and operational integrity. Familiarity with restaurant equipment and an interest in foodservice products are a plus. This is a weekday-only position at a family-run, independent business.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and service.
- Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries professionally.
- Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions in assigned areas.
- Process POS (point-of-sale) purchases and manage transactions efficiently.
- Handle returns of merchandise in a timely and courteous manner.
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
- Build productive trust relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Use the Mazi Systems to manage inventory, generate reports, and update stock levels.
- Assist with system troubleshooting and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with management to identify trends, streamline operations, and optimize the use of ERP tools.
- Perform general retail operations duties, including:
- Conducting inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Organizing displays and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinating with vendors for restocking and deliveries.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting products/supplies (minimum of 25 pounds) and bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching as needed.

Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative, or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with ERP's or a willingness to learn technical systems quickly.
- Basic math skills and hands-on experience with POS transactions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and energetic personality with a strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints promptly.
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
