As a Driver & Warehouse Crewmember, you will be responsible for loading and unloading transport, bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to detail and order accuracy with both loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. An ideal candidate will prefer a steady work style and enjoy executing clear objectives in a team focused environment. You will ensure building materials are delivered to the job site and customer warehouses accurately, safely, and on time. This position requires patience and steadiness, along with a team-work mentality.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure building materials are delivered to the job site and customer warehouses accurately, safely, and on time.
- Work closely with customers, fellow team-members, and supervisors to guarantee projects are completed to company standards.
- Deliver a variety building materials (HVAC, Insulation, Roofing Products) to industrial and commercial job sites, warehouses and to residential homeowners
- Load and off-load building materials for deliveries as well as warehouse stock
- Assist with customer will-calls and warehouse inventory management
- Maintain and ensure a safe working environment by following jobsite preparation procedures and all operating and safety instructions
- Inspect loaded truck for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions, and proper securing of load
- Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of prior commercial driving experience
- Possess a valid license and a qualified driving record
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the day as needed
- Knowledge of roofing, HVAC, and mechanical insulation
- Have prior experience operating a forklift
