Multi-Family Construction Superintendent
Location : Southeastern U.S. (Initial Project in Augusta, GA)
Position Overview :
A well-established construction firm specializing in multi-family developments is seeking an experienced Multi-Family Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the successful execution of residential projects. The first assignment will focus on a historic renovation in Augusta, GA, with future opportunities spanning garden-style, wrap, and podium-style multi-family projects across the Southeastern U.S.
This role requires a seasoned construction professional with a track record of delivering high-quality rental communities, particularly in projects valued between $15M and $50M. The right candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, strong scheduling expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality control.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Execution & Site Leadership
- Serve as the on-site lead, managing all phases of construction from preparation to completion.
- Maintain strict adherence to project schedules by closely monitoring work progress, coordinating with subcontractors, and proactively addressing potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with historic preservation requirements and all local, state, and federal building codes for the Augusta project.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
Supervise subcontractors and trade partners to ensure that work is performed efficiently, safely, and per contract specifications.Conduct regular progress meetings, safety meetings, and quality inspections to align all stakeholders on project goals.Quality & Safety Assurance
Enforce rigorous quality control standards, ensuring that all work meets engineering specifications and industry best practices.Champion worksite safety, enforcing OSHA and company safety guidelines to create a secure and compliant job site.Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, inspections, and potential risks.Provide regular progress updates to project managers, highlighting challenges, solutions, and overall project performance.Utilize construction management software to track project schedules, budgetary status, and workflow efficiency.Experience :
7 years of experience in multi-family construction, with a history of successfully managing projects valued at $15M-$50M.Strong understanding of historic renovations and adaptive reuse projects is highly preferred.Experience with garden-style, wrap, and podium multi-family developments.Expertise in project scheduling, workflow management, and subcontractor coordination.Deep knowledge of construction safety protocols, building codes, and industry regulations.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, P6, or similar tools.OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.Willingness to travel for multi-site project assignments across the Southeastern U.S.Why Join our client?
