The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Managing Director of Private Equity (PE) Investment to join our client's leadership team in Atlanta. This role will be pivotal in driving and executing the firm's multifamily investment strategy, overseeing the full spectrum of investment activities, including sourcing, underwriting, and executing new multifamily investments.

The Duties
Lead and execute the firm's multifamily private equity investment strategy, managing investments from acquisition through asset management and exit.
Source, underwrite, and analyze new multifamily investment opportunities, conducting thorough market research and financial modeling to assess risks and returns.
Oversee the due diligence process for new investments, working with internal teams and external consultants to evaluate financial, operational, and market conditions.
Develop investment strategies and prepare detailed investment memos for senior leadership and investors, providing data-driven recommendations.
Lead capital raising efforts, managing relationships with institutional investors, capital partners, and other key stakeholders.
Structure and negotiate investment deals, including joint ventures, purchase agreements, and financing terms, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives.
Maintain and foster relationships with lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders to secure financing and facilitate capital markets activities.
Oversee portfolio performance in collaboration with asset management teams to optimize operations and ensure value creation.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities to help guide investment strategy and mitigate risk.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the investment team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Represent the firm in investor relations, ensuring transparent and effective communication with stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily real estate investment, with at least 5 years of experience in leading and executing private equity investment strategies.
Proven track record in sourcing, underwriting, and executing multifamily investments, including acquisitions, financing, and exits.
Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and risk analysis specific to multifamily assets.
Deep knowledge of Southeastern U.S. multifamily markets, including trends, valuation metrics, and investment dynamics in regions like Atlanta.
Experience in capital raising, with a strong network of institutional investors, lenders, and capital partners.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
Ability to travel for property visits, investor meetings, and industry events as needed.
