PRODUCTION WORKER
For over 80 years, MacDonald Meat Company has been a supplier of high-quality meat products to the wholesale food service industry, servicing the finest restaurants, hotels and specialty food operations in Western Washington. MacDonald Meat Company, founded in 1933, supplies high quality meat products to Seattle Area restaurants and hotels. We also have a long history of service to the Alaska fishing industry. Key Responsibilities:
· Open meat packages.
· Remove product from conveyor line and stack in assembled box.
· Label boxes.
· Count product being stacked in layers in boxes.
· Stack loaded boxes on racks and move to order assembly.
· Remove empty boxes and trash from the production floor.
· The employee must regularly lift and or move between 25-50 lbs and occasionally lift between 60-80 lbs.
· Strong attention to detail on product quality.
· Communicate with Leads and Supervisors immediately when there are any concerns about product quality and safety, as well as machine malfunctions.
· Clean and sanitize processing areas and food production machinery daily.
· Maintain a strict adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times including washing and sanitizing hands and gloves, wearing of proper equipment, and practicing good safety standards.
· Perform any other work that may arise during production process.
Qualifications:
· Experience in food processing, manufacturing or packaging preferred.
· Ability to constantly work in a cold environment and remain in a stationary position for up to 100% of the time. Ability to operate equipment controls, feed product into equipment, remove/replace items from production line.
· Ability to bend, reach and lift repeatedly (up to 80lbs).
· Drive to continuously improve performance, efficiency, and speed.
· Basic English proficiency for reading, writing and communicating.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with overtime during peak production times. Monday – Friday and some Holidays.
