What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gutter Installer/Roof Cleaning Technician position at MacGyver 4 Hire Gutter Service?
We are looking for experienced gutter installers as well as roof & gutter cleaners for residential & commercial properties.
Macgyver 4 Hire LLC is a gutter and roof cleaning company serving Snohomish, King and Skagit Counties.
We need hard working and experienced employees immediately but are willing to train entry-level employees as well. If you have experience in any of these fields, we would love to work with you. If you don't have experience, then we can train you and teach you everything you need to know. We install seamless aluminum gutters, wash all styles of roofs (including those with high pitches that are steep at times) and clean and repair existing gutters.
Compensation will start at $25.00 per hour depending on experience, up to $35.00 an hour.
Compensation can be discussed further based on credentials. We offer sick/vacation pay as well as daily overtime. There is also always the opportunity for advancement.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, with any overtime paid by the day. Occasionally there may be an optional opportunity for Saturday work as well. The shop is located out of Lake Stevens so this is where you will start and end your day, however you will be working in the field with a company provided vehicle throughout Snohomish County, occasionally into King and Skagit Counties as well. A valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to the shop daily will be required.
The work is labor intensive and will require:
- Physically capable of lifting/carrying 50lbs
- Ability to climb and move 28’ ladders on your own and work at gutter-level heights and also being comfortable on roofs to clean debris from gutters/to perform roof cleanings.
- The use of basic hand tools and power tools such as drills, leaf blowers and low-pressure water systems
- Ability to use and read a tape measure is a must
- Cleaning up jobsites to ensure properties are clean upon project completion
- Consistency showing up every day on time and ready to work with a positive attitude
- Friendly and professional demeanor when dealing with clients
- Ability to work outside in the elements daily. We live in Western Washington which means often working in the rain, cold temperatures and in the heat as well during the summer months. We always make sure you have the equipment/supplies you need to work safely and comfortably.
- Having your own basic hand/power tools is a plus, but not required
- You must be able to pass a background check and also provide references.
As an individual you must be motivated to work, detail-oriented, organized, punctual, able to work without direct supervision, hard-working, have excellent time management skills, and have the ability to treat your coworkers, customers, and equipment with the utmost respect. You absolutely must be comfortable with heights and comfortable on ladders as this will be a daily requirement. You must be a team player that is good at taking direction, with a positive attitude and take pride in your work.
