Job Summary:
Mach Energy Services LLC is a rapidly growing pipeline, electrical and facilities construction contractor seeking an experienced Automation Tech to join our team. The Automation Technician reports directly to the I&E Operations manager and is responsible for testing and commissioning all control system components and loops as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Calibration and testing of transmitters, switches, converters, recorders, indicators, actuated valves, and control loops back to PLC or DCS systems
- Ensures that there are adequate data sheets and system documentation to complete all required pre-commissioning and commissioning checks and tests
- Verifies all test equipment is NIST Traceable and has a current calibration date
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper coordination of electrical work
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Test electrical systems using specialized equipment to ensure functionality and safety
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working on job sites
Requirements:
- Valid journeyman electrician license w/ 2 years experience in oil and gas
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces). Ability to push/pull 50 lbs, climb and carry ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Automation Technician Specific Skillsets:
- Allen Bradley PLC (Make minor changes)
- Comprehensive knowledge of control systems, HMI’s, Red Lions, Communication (Radios/Satellite), AB VFD’s, Calibration and troubleshooting of PT’s, DPT’s, Level transmitters, etc…
- Knowledge of commission and loop test on critical instrumentation
- Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits
