Job description
A well-established Concord-based Precision Machine shop is looking for a Skilled CNC Programmer to add to the team. Excellent opportunity for the right person in an industrial shop assisting with the daily task to maintain a productive facility.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Design and develop machining fixtures as needed.
- Develop CNC programs to work with setup and fixtures for optimal quality and minimal downtime.
- Work within SolidWorks to make any necessary changes.
- Take prototype models/prints and turn them into manufactured parts.
- Operate CNC machines.
- Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and results of outcome.
- Maintain library of programs and configuration in an easily referenceable manner.
- Provide required documents for machine set-up (set-up sheet, visual drawings)
- Create/Develop CNC programs for new development projects, typically direct from a part drawing.
- Performs manufacturability reviews for new jobs and provides feedback to manufacturing supervision and engineering to meet cost targets.
- Develop and/or aid in preparing standard times and generating operational routings.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures including environmental, health and safety.
Skills Desired:
- Ability to use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- 2 years of experience programming in Cam Works, or similar software preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination, familiarity with various measuring equipment, good understanding of the working qualities of various metals, commitment to excellence and high standards, versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm, acute attention to detail, ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience creating CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
- An understanding of “ISM” plain shift machining is a plus.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as a team, but also self-motivation with the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.

- Current Driver's License Required
- Pass a Background Check if required.
Hours:
- Full Time Position
- First Shift
- Daytime Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.
- Overtime possible during busy periods.
