Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing specialist that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients’ most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.
We are searching for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner and join our dynamic Finance team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all vendor invoices are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve vendor billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due via three-way match (packing slip, purchase order and invoice).
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate post and manage figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- High School Diploma required.
