Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduler will play a crucial role in optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning and scheduling, particularly in a manufacturing environment with mixed work and serving the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules that optimize resource utilization, minimize downtime, and meet customer delivery requirements.
- Coordinate closely with production teams, supply chain personnel, and engineering departments to ensure alignment of production schedules with production capacity, material availability, and engineering requirements.
- Monitor and analyze production data, including machine utilization, labor efficiency, and material consumption, to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Prioritize production orders based on customer requirements, production constraints, and delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including production managers, engineers, and procurement specialists, to ensure clear understanding of production schedules and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines in all production activities.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience,
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment serving the aerospace industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems, Epicor preferred.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines and delivering results.
