Job Summary:
Mack Boring & Parts Co. is seeking a full-time Controller who will work with the COO and other members of the Leadership Team to create business advantages through effective leadership of company finances. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial systems and processes. They also enjoy and thrive working in a no-excuse, highly accountable environment with other similarly motivated individuals. This is a hybrid position and does require some in person office time in our Somerset office.
Primary Job Duties:
- Creates financial planning and accounting practices for Mack companies and expertly implements them.
- Performs monthly/quarterly/annual expense analyses.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Leads Financial Planning and Analysis function by developing and maintaining financial models and predictions for new opportunities, current and future goals.
- Manages or evaluates risk company-wide including receivables, insurance coverage, etc.
- Oversees the IT function, specifically the company’s business reporting, ensuring it supports our strategic goals where information is disseminated quickly and correctly.
- Ensures access to capital for future requirements and possibilities via cash flow forecasting, effective cash management, and optimizing sources of capital.
- Leads and incorporates new tools for faster, more relevant, and accessible reporting for all metrics, company-wide.
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll while developing them as leaders both to excellence in current roles and for advancement opportunities.
- Any other projects or items not mentioned in the above list but necessary to assist daily operations.
- Must have experience with the management of banking relationships.
- Must have experience with Asset Based Lending.
Job qualifications:
- Basic computer skills including efficiency with Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce and QuickBooks and familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Adobe.
- Experience with Asset Based Lending and related banking relationship management.
- Well organized and self-directed.
- Experience working in Manufacturing or wholesale industry.
- 5 years of experience of dealing with Asset Base lending.
- Excitement for the opportunity to grow and advance with company.
- Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff.
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communications skills.

Education And Experience:
- ·Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Willingness to attend conferences/classes as required.
- 7 years or more of related experience required.
- Auditing Experience is a big plus
