The Role

We are seeking a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to oversee and develop our religious education programme. You will ensure all activities and teaching materials align with Catholic doctrine, support catechists, and coordinate with other parish ministries.
This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings with RE, Youth Ministry, RCIA coordinators, and Roman Catholic staff as required.
- Chair the Roman Catholic Advisory Council's RE committee and submit monthly status reports.
- Organise and support catechists and catechist aides, ensuring they understand chapel operations and procedures.
- Develop and submit an annual budget proposal for the RE programme.
- Plan a 9-month Calendar of Events and scheduled classes.
- Coordinate activities with social, music, and liturgy programme leaders.
- Recruit, train, and oversee all volunteers involved in Catholic Religious Education.

The Person
- A relevant qualification in theology, religious studies, or a related field. This could be a bachelor's degree, a minor in a related subject, an associate's degree, or a recognised certificate.
- At least two years' experience as a Catholic RE Coordinator or five years of teaching experience in a Catholic religious education programme.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- The ability to work independently in a dynamic environment while maintaining positive relationships with staff, parents, and children.
