Position: Material Handler/ Utility
Reports To: Materials Manager – John Tidd
Plant: East Arlington
Shift: 1st Shift
Essential Functions:

1. Helps to set up department work stations and production lines for maximum efficiency;
2. Organizes movement of work-in-process and finish goods and materials for maximum efficiency;
3. Operates material handling equipment, such as hand jacks and motorized fork lifts;
4. Cleans, maintains and replenishes corrugated stock and inventory;
5. Brings packaging, corrugated and molded product and hardware to production lines/presses/areas;
6. Strap/bands and or wraps products for shipment;
7. Uses the computer system to accurately and effectively track inventory;
8. Maintains accurate records of material usage and transfers from work -in - process to finished goods;
9. Assists leaders and operators with various departmental tasks as needed;
10. See, read and follows work instructions, safety procedures and completes various forms and reports;
11. Able to rotate into other departments to perform similar tasks as needed;
12. Operates various assembly, production equipment and hand tools;
13. Works with co-workers in a safe, professional and cooperative manner;
14. Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptable to changing business needs and continually learns and applies new skills;
15. Meets minimum physical/mental demands with or without reasonable accommodation;
16. Complies with all Company policies and procedures;
17. Trains others on knowledge and skills mastered;
18. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to drive a fork truck. Must be available for overtime as needed.
