The primary purpose of this role is to lead and develop the Facilities, Operations, HSE and Quality teams strategically and tactically, to deliver the Business Unit’s 5-year plan. A strong emphasis is placed on ensuring that all products entering and leaving the production facility meet specifications and that continuous improvement, safety and cost efficiencies are considered.

Requirements\Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and other best practice techniques
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification is desired Job Training and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing leadership role (leading at least 10 people)
- 2 years’ experience in agriculture/seed industry is a plus; seed production and handling knowledge also a plus
- Proven experience writing/comply with policy, planning budgets; assess, evaluate and solve complex operational issues
- Proven people management experience in terms of developing supervisors/leaders, managing people resources effectively to create a quality product and maximum throughput
Responsibilities
- P&L responsibility for each department: Operations, Facilities, HSE & Quality.
- Ensure that effective KPIs are set and achieved
- Oversee intellectual property protection for trade secrets
- Implement and oversee regulatory compliance to meet federal and state EPA, OSHA, CalOSHA and NOP compliance Work closely with the Business Unit Director to develop a robust 5 year-plan with the objective of maximising site profitability in the short, medium and long-term.
- Review operating cost and capital budgets on a period basis; recognize budget short falls and adjust accordingly to maintain the P&L of the Operations, Facilities, HSE and Quality
- Work as a key member of the SMT in building, devising, implementing and managing the strategy for the NA Business Unit
- Conduct employee performance and objective reviews to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the team; set and review personal development plans for all reports as required; assure that these same processes are set for indirect reports throughout each department in the required timeline
- Ensure all customer complaints and claims are investigated and cost/risks are minimized as well as root cause analysis is completed to eliminate repetitive issues/mistakes
- Oversee the HSE initiatives, compliance and site security through the HSE Manager assuring that the company is in compliance according to state and federal regulations and site is kept secure according to governance
- Oversee Facilities team to manage site wide maintenance and facility upkeep; establish Preventative Maintenance
Salary : $175,000
