GENERAL SUMMARY


Under direction, provides expertise, coordination, and monitoring of the quality improvement system including participation in quality assurance activities such as on-site monitoring, data analysis, accreditation, and licensing activities. Works in collaboration with administrative and clinical staff on quality projects and programs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Assists in the implementation of the overall quality plan for Macomb County Community Mental Health (MCCMH).


Assists in the implementation of quality processes, including monitoring, data collection, evaluation design, and training.


Works on quality processes to improve electronic medical records and dashboards.


Supports the maintenance of quality standards required for accreditation, third-party payer-provider status, and the Michigan Department of Community Health certification and licensure.


Conducts quality audits and reviews all direct and contract programs.


Monitors, evaluates, and audits activities related to direct and contract service providers to ensure quality activities, including staff support at the clinic level, for ongoing quality improvement tasks.


Collects, reviews, and disseminates data from system-wide incident reports.


Collects data on key performance indicators and provides reports to the State of Michigan.


Participates in the development and implementation of quality policies.


Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement practices such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Total Quality Management (TQM).


Participates in various quality committees and councils.


Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.


Performs related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a directly related field
  • Two (2) years of experience working with quality improvement process and/or mental health program administration


Preferred Education and Experience


  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a directly related field
  • Two (2) years of experience working with accreditation standards for behavioral healthcare organizations
  • Three (3) years of experience working with quality improvement processes and/or mental health program administration


Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel


Preferred Licenses or Certifications

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited Licensed Master of Social Work (LLMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP), Limited License Psychologist (LLP), or Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • Certification with the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) or an approved development plan
