Qualifications:
-Minimum education level: high school diploma
-Minimum of 1 year experience in residential care services
-Ability to complete training required for position
-Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise manner
-Ability to interact with peers in a positive and supportive manner
-Ability to provide supervision and leadership to staff
-Verification of health status relating to the job requirements
-Three references deemed acceptable to the agency
-Current and valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
What will you do as an Assistant Manager?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As needed, fulfills basic duties of Direct Care Staff
- Screens, hires and supervise CLS site personnel, their training and performance.
- Organizes site staffing according to service authorizations and consumer needs.
- Develops implements, and supervises client services.
- Consults with contracting agency staff and service providers in assessing client needs, and arranges services as directed.
- Insures that client records, program data, site maintenance and financial records are updated regularly and meet established requirements.
- Manages and supervises the use of consumer funds, completing required reports monthly.
- Serves as the primary contact person for all communications with agency staff, parents and guardians, school and workshop staff, case worker and consultants.
- Insures that sites are maintained in a clean and homelike manner.
- Monitors agency vehicle use, records and maintenance to assure compliance with agency standards.
- Participates in agency Quality Improvement efforts.
- Maintains an awareness of agency and state regulatory agencies policies. Monitors and directs site compliance to these regulations.
- Provides direct service to consumers and supervision of site staff by working in consumer sites twice weekly.
