Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop contract documents (plans, specifications, and quantities/estimates)
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings (organize and lead meetings)
- Maintain current departmental organizational and quality control standards; update as necessary
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data for project planning
- Perform design computations
- Coordinate with and/or manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines
Required Skills:
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation
- Construction cost estimating in detail
- Technical specification writing
- Proficiency in MS Office software
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders
- Working knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria
- Familiarity with project management skills (scheduling, budgeting, etc.)
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent
- 4 8 years of experience in civil design
- Experience in task management
Preferred Experience:
- Supervisory experience in project tasks
- Experience in road/highway design
