What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Control Analyst position at Macquarie Group?
The Product Control team, within the Commodities Markets and Finance group, is accountable for substantiating, analyzing, and reporting P&L for Macquarie’s trading businesses, which span across Energy Commodities and Financing/Credit Markets The Product Control group performs these accountabilities through daily review of trader estimated P&L vs. actuals, P&L attribution analysis, financial statement reserves/adjustments, and P&L commentary in order to produce timely and accurate period-to-date performance results.

What role will you play?
In this role, primary duties include assembling and publishing daily Global Energy P&L reports and associated controls/processes, including new deal highlights, deal amendments, attribution analysis and commentary, and reserves/adjustments. You will build and maintain strong internal relationships with the Front Office, Market risk, Financial Control & our Global Financial Services group and demonstrate the ability to independently evaluate and resolve issues with appropriate escalation.
What You Offer
- 2 year’s relevant Product Control, Market Risk, Price testing/Valuation industry experience
- Strong background in financial markets and trading businesses required.
- Experience with commodities products and physical commodities required.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with background in or interest in coding & data analytics.
- Postgraduate qualification, preferably in Finance, Economics or Engineering.
