Manufacturing Operations Technician

Job Description: Manufacturing Technician

Technicians perform and coordinate activities related to the jobs released to the manufacturing floor. These activities include; fabrication, assembly, material picking and require the use of power and hand tools. Technicians are responsible for following the routing instructions on the travelers and meeting the planned production hour estimates and timelines. Technicians may be assigned lead roles on specific jobs and direct others in the execution of those Jobs. Technicians are expected to maintain good housekeeping standards and practice safe work habits and ensure all others in the manufacturing centers do the same.

Technicians interface with Program Managers, Engineering and Materials Control in their day to day work. They are also accountable for the integrity of the data collection and Job records system by entering hours and progress values accurately at data collection terminals.

From a Quality Systems perspective the Technician will be knowledgeable in the following business and manufacturing processes:

· Overall quality policy and Inspections

· Bill of Materials

· Product protection and identification

· Macron Workmanship standards

Outlined below are additional duties, skills, processes or expectations of a Technician

· Safety-

· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use

· Safe lifting and carrying methods

· Print reading

· Part fabrication and assembly drawings

· Dimensioning and tolerances

· Work instructions

· Measuring tools

· Teamwork

Experience requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 1-2 years manufacturing environment experience using hand and power tools.

· Candidate will have good communication skills with a high standard of workmanship attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
