Education And Work Experience
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architectural Drafting and Estimating or related field experience preferred.
- 5 years experience as a Project Manager in the construction/steel industry.
- Looking for a result-oriented self-starter, not only capable of working independently, but also as part of a team on a multitude of projects. Must be organized and be reasonably competent in Microsoft Office, with strong communication skills. Must be able to present oneself and deal with others in a professional manner.
- Applicant should have at least 12 years in project management and experience in structural & miscellaneous steel.
- Reviewing & understanding construction plans, documents, specifications and contracts.
- Planning, Organizing, and Controlling large commercial building project.
- Communicating with Vendors, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Detailers, Subcontractors and Company personnel.
- Scope reviews.
- Setting schedules and then monitoring project's progress and deliverables to ensure it is following the schedule.
- Obtaining and approving vendor quotes.
- Reviewing Shop drawings.
- Overseeing shipping schedules.
- Analyzing changes, then writing and/or approving change orders.
- Assist in the training of Assistant Project Managers.
- Requires occasional visits to sites.
