What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Mad Dogs?
Mad Dogs & Englishman has been an iconic fixture in South Tampa for three decades. Now, it stands on the brink of an exciting transformation, relocating to a new building and revamping its British charm. Oxford Commons, the driving force behind Tampa's renowned establishments such as Oxford Exchange, Predalina, The Stovall House, The Library & Casa Cami, is leading the charge into the next chapter. The Host greets the customer immediately when they enter the restaurant. They control the flow of the restaurant by organizing the pace of seating to each server. The Host must be aware of new menu items and specials and be able to answer all questions about the menu. The Host may also act as the person responsible for To Go Orders. They are attentive to the FOH atmosphere and ensure that the lighting, music volume, and overall cleanliness are all being kept up for a great first impression.
Essential Functions :
- Welcoming, friendly & attentive customer service
- Menu knowledge
- Service speed
- Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Assist with opening / closing tasks and side work as needed
- Answer phones and schedule reservations
