What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Mad Engine Global LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technician Level I reports to Technical Manager and works with the Production team in providing accurate and timely solutions and repairs. Technicians can advance from Level I to Level II based upon skills and comprehensive understanding of the equipment. Level II technicians can tackle any repair with little to no interaction from a Technician Level III or the Technical Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and foster the Technician I. Technician Level III is a master of the equipment and rarely needs support from other Technician III’s or Technical Manager. The optimum person takes ownership, managing process from conception to end result, is organized, self-motivated and has great problem solving skills. A comprehensive understanding of downstream processes and methods is essential for growth as a technician. This position requires attention to detail, ability to stay on task, time management/prioritization and a resilient attitude. Valid driver’s license required. Hours may include some weekends and evenings.
EQUIPMENT & MAINTENANCE:
- Inform Supervisors and Managers of equipment problems.
- Operate all equipment in accordance with operating instructions.
- Advise and Present new Equipment that would be beneficial to Fifth Sun.
- Research and develop ways to improve existing Equipment.
- Follow Maintenance Plans for all Equipment in Warehouse
- Read & Understand Electrical Schematics and Equipment Manuals
- Resolve Electrical, Air, Water, Ink, & Natural Gas problems
- Troubleshoot & Repair various equipment, not limited to Digital Printers
GENERAL:
- Confident in using a wide range of Tools including DVOM
- Comprehending OSHA requirements
- Comprehending MSDS’/SDS’
- Assist Technical Manager with additional duties.
- Participate in brainstorming meetings.
- Contribute suggestions and ideas for department needs.
- Complete all tasks to guarantee that company goals and customer objectives are met.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
- Keep current on latest technologies and software tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in equipment repair.
- Excellent language, communication and spelling skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Adequate knowledge of Windows platforms and operating systems.
- Knowledge of printing terminology and practices.
Ability to use tools comfortably, knowledge of electricity, excellent hands-on and troubleshooting skills

4th Shift: 3/12's, Friday - Sunday, 5PM - 5AM (extra pay for this shift!)
