About The Role
The Director of People & Culture will be a key member of Mad Mobile’s HR leadership team, reporting directly to the CHRO. This role is responsible for overseeing the U.S. HR function, partnering with leadership to align people strategies with business goals, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. As part of a small, agile HR team, this is a “roll up your sleeves” position requiring a proactive, hands-on approach to everything from employee engagement, recruitment and talent management to compliance and improving operational HR processes through Ai.
Role will be located in: Tampa, FL and 5 days in office

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with the CHRO and senior leadership to develop and implement people strategies that support Mad Mobile’s growth, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention initiatives.
- Culture & Engagement: Champion Mad Mobile’s culture by designing and leading programs that enhance employee experience, promote diversity and inclusion, and reinforce company values.
- Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and career development processes to attract, retain, and grow top tech talent in a competitive market.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a supportive, respectful workplace.
- HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance with U.S. labor laws, and policy development, while continuously improving processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small HR team, fostering collaboration and accountability while stepping in to execute tasks as needed in a lean environment.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage Ai to provide actionable insights to leadership, driving informed decision-making on people-related matters.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state (Florida), and local employment regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in a technology or high-growth company.
- Proven ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with a small team, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices, with experience managing compliance in Florida.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits administration; familiarity with tech industry tools and trends a plus.
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, innovative culture and driving employee engagement.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats in a growing organization.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification, e.g., SHRM-SCP or SPHR, a plus)
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and payroll systems.
- Experience in Change Management and scaling HR programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
