INTAKE REGISTRAR / INSURANCE COORDINATOR / PDGM CODER & BILLER

MAD RIVER HOME HEALTHCARE SERVICES

The Home Health Intake Registrar, Insurance Coordinator/PDGM Coder and Biller, under the direction of the Home Health Director, and in cooperation with the Patient Care Service Manager shall work with the Intake Staff to create and process referrals in the EHR.

This is a cross-trained, multifaceted assistant position that demands critical thinking, the following of the PDGM coding guidelines and accuracy in translation of clinical information to initiate the Plan of Care.

This position demands cooperative teamwork with HH, Coding and finance teams. It requires the ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, and facilities staff. It requires emotional stability, the ability to work under stress from the demands of multiple staff, varying situations, changing priorities and regulatory deadlines.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Coding training in ICD-10.
• Data entry experience and accuracy required
• Telephone communication skills to receive and give accurate information
• Experience in the medical field with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
• Must meet the required elements of the essential job functions

Wages are based on prior related experience.
